Our product innovation includes:

Feasibility

Our cross-functional team will work with you to assess the commercial, technical and financial impacts that each product innovation could have on your bottom line. We provide the qualitative and quantitative market research to generate sound sales projections, and assess the pricing, promotion and packaging strategies, while considering the specific dynamics of your market. We then analyse your current capabilities and provide the incremental operational, supply chain, and capital requirements to produce and distribute your new product. Quality, legal, and environmental risks and impacts are also assessed. The financial projections, timelines, and resource requirements are then generated to help you confidently determine next steps.

Design and Development

During this stage we can provide the following design and development services, while continuing to monitor overall project feasibility.

Recipe development and pilot trials competitive analysis, pilot trials and analysis, final recipe.

Engineering – equipment layout, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment selection and procurement and automation.

Quality – sampling plans, specifications, analysis (microbiological, chemical, packaging, sensory).

Implementation

These services can be supported by either continuous on-site daily project management or regular site visits based on your requirements:

· Capital Project Management and Equipment Installation.

· Equipment Testing and Commissioning.

· Commercial Scale Up.

· Operations Management – training and handover of quality, operating and maintenance procedures.

We have the experience to take your brewery to the next level, helping you efficiently plan for growth, while capturing improvement opportunities at every step of your journey.

Minimizing the growing pains of a brewery expansion requires good planning. Our planning stage is designed to ensure that your expansion will go smoothly and addresses all of your brewery’s current and future needs. Before our first site visit, we send out a pre-visit questionnaire that allows us to become acquainted with the facility, its location, layout, equipment,

utilities, and current processes within the plant. We then conduct an in-person visit, where we visually assess the condition, capability and capacity of the existing facility processes and systems. We discuss current and future plans with the brew master, staff and stakeholders and review any recent or existing capital projects flow sheets, plant layout drawings, equipment specification sheets, and quality and procedure documents.

Our planning stage concludes with an in-depth report that provides a comprehensive facility expansion roadmap that covers all aspects of brewery operations and provides the incremental investments, first-order budget cost estimates, and action steps needed to effectively transform the current brewery’s condition into its future expanded state. In conjunction with the facility expansion strategy we also identify key areas for improvement observed during the site visit and articulate those plans into action.

ETOH is also able to see you through the next phases of your expansion, including design, procure, building and commissioning.

Beyond expanding your brewery production capacity, planning for growth across all the functions of your business is critical. Our commercial, supply chain and financial specialists will provide the insight you need to have the right sales & marketing, distribution strategies and processes in place to support your expansion.

How does your brand stand out in a crowded market?

Whether you’re opening a new facility from scratch or seeking to renovate or expand an existing brewpub or taproom, there’s no more powerful tool for bringing your brand to life. The first step, of course, is to get the fundamentals right: designing a space that enables you to deliver great customer experience. But it’s just as important to create an environment that communicates your brand essence. We’ll work with you and your designer to ensure everything comes together as a whole, and not just a collection of parts.

You may be working with a blank slate. You may be fine-tuning an existing space, or looking to accommodate high traffic or the needs created by Covid-19. In any case we’ll develop a brief for the physical aspects of the layout. How will the space accommodate large events, including community events? How will it facilitate the sort of social interaction and even camaraderie that encourages conversations among strangers? How will traffic between tables, the bar, the restrooms, and any food stations flow? Should there be television screens, and how does their role affect their placement? Will there be dedicated areas for games?

But getting the colours, the materials, and the textures right is just as important. Lighting and music must be carefully chosen as well. All of these will reinforce your brand personality. We can help articulate the key non-verbal messages and work with your designer on a plan to communicate them.

Then comes the most critical part, because all of this will only pay significant dividends if your customers stay longer, spend more, and return to spend again. Your staff members are the difference-makers when it comes to a great service experience for your customers. They’re also the conduits for your brand communication.

ETOH will develop educational tools and implement training that will make your staff the envy of your neighbourhood establishments.
